When you read, September 11, the next thing that comes to mind is likely 2001 and images of the terrible events of that day in the United States of America. Yet it appears September and the number eleven have a lot more history then I at least, ever knew. In general, September 11th, in non leap-years, is the 255th day of the year and, "there are 111 days remaining until the end of the year." Source: Wikipedia Also, from the same source link we learn a few other interesting and quite historical events which happened on September 11 throughout the years, since the grand introduction of the Gregorian calendar:
SEPTEMBER 11 - * 1776 – British-American peace conference on Staten Island fails to stop nascent American Revolutionary War. * 1813 – War of 1812: British troops arrive in Mount Vernon and prepare to march to and invade Washington, D.C. * 1814 – War of 1812: The climax of the Battle of Plattsburgh, a major United States victory in the war. * 1914 – Australia invades New Britain, defeating a German contingent at the Battle of Bita Paka. * 1919 – U.S. Marines invade Honduras. * 1921 – Nahalal, the first moshav in Palestine, is settled as part of a Zionist plan to colonize Palestine and creating a Jewish state, later to be Israel. * 1939 – World War II: Canada declares war on Germany, the country's first independent declaration of war * 1941 – Ground is broken for the construction of The Pentagon. * 1943 – World War II: German troops occupy Corsica and Kosovo-Metohija. * 1943 – World War II: Start of the liquidation of the Ghettos in Minsk and Lida by the Nazis. * 1944 – World War II: The first Allied troops of the U.S. Army cross the western border of Germany. * 1944 – World War II: RAF bombing raid on Darmstadt and the following firestorm kill 11,500. * 1945 – World War II: Australian 9th Division forces liberate the Japanese-run Batu Lintang camp, a POW and civilian internment camp on the island of Borneo. * 2001 – Two hijacked aircraft crash into the World Trade Center in New York City, while a third smashes into The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a fourth into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, in a series of coordinated suicide attacks by 19 members of Al-Qaeda. Altogether, 2,996 people are killed. * 2012 – The U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya is attacked, resulting in four deaths.
Is it just me, or is that some rather specific and often violent events?
What? eleven days eliminated from the month September in 1752! With that in mind and the video we just watched here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrolyA78JOw (which there are a lot of leaps of faith, but also some relatively clear facts)
"Year 1752 (MDCCLII) was a leap year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar, and a leap year starting on Wednesday of the 11-day slower Julian calendar. In the British Empire, it was the only year with 355 days, as September 3 through September 13 were skipped." SOURCE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1752
Rather interesting, to say the least. Here are more details on how this change came about:
"The Calendar (New Style) Act 1750 (c.23) (also known as Chesterfield's Act after Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield) is an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain. It reformed the calendar of England and British Dominions so that a new year began on 1 January rather than 25 March (Lady Day) and would run according to the Gregorian calendar, as used in most of western Europe." This would have specifically also of course included the American colonies of that time. There were reports of English folk rioting and demanding back their 11 days. Yet that is seen as folklore. That said, there was this William Hogarth painting, which may have been satire, titled, "Give us our Eleven Days" - now notice the symbols, do you? View:
As a side note, based on the materials presented in the above videos, please see this documentation -
The Lost Chapter of the Acts of the Apostles "The Lost Chapter of the Acts of the Apostles, also known as the Sonnini Manuscript, is a short text purporting to be the translation of a manuscript containing the 29th chapter of the Acts of the Apostles, detailing St. Paul's journey to Britain, where he preached to a tribe of Israelites on Ludgate Hill, the site of St Paul's Cathedral" SOURCE: The Lost Chapter of the Acts of the Apostles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is no telling of the validity of this supposed chapter 29 from Acts, supposedly from St Paul. What is clear though, is that God made sure that The Word, his word, was canonized and published in a standard form. Hence, one would not be able to take this unproven work seriously, at least as far as scripture goes. Yet that is exactly why I include it on this September 11 article. Do some take this seriously? Are there plans for world domination? If so, would they not go to any lengths? Is Satan not evil?
What is it with September 11? In closing, we have the fact that in September, 1752, eleven days were withheld. That to me, in and of itself, is very interesting. September 11 itself is a day well-know in the history books, throughout the years. The rest, derived from the videos linked above, is quite frankly rather scary. I will not dwell on it, but glad I was made aware. For God is Great and through Jesus Christ his Son we have our only true, everlasting salvation. September 11 or otherwise.
